Die Mobilen in the Works Council. For confident employee representation across the entire DIGITS Campus and throughout DIGITS!

Mobile & Modern Work

We advocate for mobile work, including the option to work temporarily from other EU countries.

We want to test experimental work models such as a 4×10-hour week and expanded flextime.

Our program emphasizes social and ecological responsibility. We advocate for aligning working hours with public transport, improved bicycle & e-bike infrastructure with Jobbike options, and the expansion of e-mobility and private charging for bicycles and cars at the new campus.

In discussions with the employer side, we are strongly advocating for a good connection linking the Bad Friedrichshall Campus to the train station and the regional public transport network (ÖPNV). To facilitate the compatibility of work and family, we propose examining a shuttle connection linking the Schwarz School and daycare centers to the Campus.

Respect, Compensation & Transparency

Respect: We want to create a culture of respectful communication and accessibility, and actively stand against discrimination and bullying.

Compensation: We demand fair remuneration that offsets inflation and offers predictable financial perspectives, even for long-serving employees.

Transparency: “Die Mobilen” strive for greater transparency regarding promotions, the use of employee feedback, and management decisions. We want to strengthen employee participation through regular feedback channels and by involving representatives in key company projects.

Company Cars and Mobility Budget: Like many colleagues, we view the provision of company cars for private use as a component of compensation. We want to advocate for a renewed focus on offering electric vehicles to support the corporate group’s sustainability goals and enable tax-efficient mobility for employees.

We welcome the Mobility Budget as an alternative to the company car that is exemplary in many respects. We want to expand the Mobility Budget in terms of its scope, flexibility, and financial attractiveness.

Modern Work (Agile & EO)

We stand behind the values of the Agile Manifesto. We strive for a corporate culture in which humanity and decentralized responsibility—as guiding principles of agile software development—shape everyday life. We accept the EO Initiative (Exponential Organization) of Schwarz IT in principle.

We “Mobilen” advocate negotiating a company agreement with the employer wherein:

  • EO roles are assumed voluntarily and can be relinquished again—ensuring that “voluntary” truly means FREE and WILLING.

  • EO metrics are used internally for reflection within teams, but not for performance or behavioral monitoring.

  • EO is lived as an instrument of self-reflection and collaboration, not as a whip of mistrust, micromanagement, or bureaucratic paralysis.

  • EO supports cross-border collaboration and that the protection of company agreements and support by a Works Council is preserved, even if you are not working in Germany.

  • EO functions as a language and culture of trustful cooperation, even in sensitive contexts where you would prefer to rely on your native language.

Work-Life Balance & Attractiveness

Work-Life Balance: We want to promote employee well-being by advocating for mental health support (e.g., confidential counseling services) and guidelines for a “digital detox” after working hours. We support partial retirement models to assist long-serving employees.

Attractive for All: “Die Mobilen” advocate for flexible working models for parents (especially fathers) and for the care of relatives to prevent career setbacks and improve the compatibility of career and family.

We strive for a fair distribution of hours for irregular working hours and part-time models. Regardless of the number of hours and their regular scheduling during the week, taking vacation on long workdays should no longer lead to negative hours. We advocate ensuring that flexible working hours do not lead to disadvantages.

We advocate for leadership roles to be available on a part-time basis, thereby breaking down barriers—especially for women—to take on leadership responsibilities.

Sustainability & Social Responsibility

We emphasize the obligation toward sustainability and social responsibility. This includes environmental initiatives (e.g., reduced paper consumption), social engagement (e.g., volunteering days), and promoting ethical AI development.

Future & Participation at DIGITS

“Die Mobilen” see themselves as a bridge between the workforce and company management. We want to actively and positively shape the future at DIGITS and ensure that employees’ voices are heard.

We advocate for further training. We see the key to future-proof work in qualifying employees for the confident use of AI, Cloud, and Quantum Computing.

We “Mobilen” stand for equal rights for all employees at the Schwarz DIGITS Campus.

We advocate that everyone on the Campus can participate in Mobile Work and be protected by our company agreements – regardless of whether they have an employment contract with SIT, DIGITS, or another entity.

To achieve this, we talk to the other Works Councils on the Campus and find solutions for those who belong to companies without a Works Council.

We Mobilen are committed to ensuring that all colleagues in DIGITS are represented by Works Councils and company agreements – at all locations in Europe.

We particularly want to support you if you work cross-location, if you report to a manager abroad, and if your responsibilities and integration extend across borders.
