At a glance
I am 53 years old and have been with the company for 30 years. I started in 1995 at Kaufland in the Purchasing Department (Marketing C & C East). In early 2000, I moved to the Purchasing-SAP department. There, I supported the introduction of SAP in the company and was responsible for reporting in Purchasing.
Since 2015, I have been with SIT in the Masterdata & Interfaces department, where I manage interfaces (including KLMDD).
Why I am running for the Works Council
My concern regarding “Mobile Work” is growing, as is likely the case for many others.
Since the Coronavirus pandemic and the associated transition to mobile work, the world has changed significantly—not just in general, but for many of us in our personal lives as well. In my opinion, going back to the old life, back to “pre-Corona,” is no longer possible.
I started at the company when there was only one PC in a department. Work took place almost entirely on paper. Today, that is unimaginable for many, especially younger colleagues! No one would ever think of going back to that.
Personal obligations
In addition to professional changes, private obligations have arisen, such as the care and support of family members. My social commitment has also expanded (in my case, animal welfare as a foster home for dogs).
These obligations have become an essential part of my private life alongside my career.
Balancing family care, my commitment to animal welfare, and my professional work is only possible with the option of mobile work.
It gives me the space and the strength to be fully committed to my job while creating the necessary balance in my private life.
A full return to the office would be unimaginable for me—and perhaps simply no longer feasible.
For this reason, the topic of “Flexibility through Mobile Work” is very close to my heart, and I want to dedicate my energy, my ideas, and my voice to it!
Why “DIE MOBILEN”?
We are a committed group from SIT who will stand up courageously for a good balance between mobile work and on-site opportunities at the new Campus.
We are asking for your vote – for a future of mobile work at SIT!
